Alaskan Malamutes in the Parades

Carting comes naturally to Alaskan Malamutes in the same way as pointing comes natural to a Pointer. Pulling out Harnesses or loading a Cart creates complete excitement to our Malamutes, even on a warm day.
With only a few days in front of a Sacco Cart our Alaskan Malamutes learned to provide a smooth ride & learn the necessary commands to allow them to pull their carts through the Fourth of July Parade with kids at the controls.

The Sacco Carts are extremely well made carts designed specially for Dog Carting.
I have reviewed the less expensive dog carts and alternatives and none compare to the Sacco Carts for ease of use, portability and stability. One person can easily load the Sacco Cart on a truck. You can change from one dog to two dogs or back within a minute. In our case, we easily added a third dog or fourth on the outside. Our Carts were purchased from Nordkyn Outfitters.

Our Carting Harnesses from Black Ice which are fitted specifically for each Dog. They are extremely easy to put on & take of the dogs. They also adjust easily when a neighbor wants to try their dogs on the cart.

We also have one Rottweiler that pulls the carts. She has been raised with Malamutes and does not know how not to be a Malamute. She even howls.
